Yesterday we were invited to spend a day with our friend Iqram and his family in their village. Iqram works for GouF and he has been a fatherly figure here to us. He has two kids, ages 17 and 19. He saves his money to pay for their educations, and insists that they both graduate with master's degrees before they settle down and have families of their own. He also insists that his daughter choose a spouse and dislikes the idea of arranged marriage, which is common here. His son is now studying accounting and hoping to get a scholarship. We really like this family. They are salt of the earth, so nice and trying to make us feel comfortable and well-fed!! They made us a big meal of lots of weird spicy foods. Sorry no picture, I was just glad I survived that meal let me tell you!!

Walking through the village. Those are goats and there are plenty of them here!

This is a grave-site we saw in the village. The bamboo poles mark the burial spots.

Trying to get a nap in but it was sooo hot!!

The family with Jason.

Iqram's son cutting a coconut with his machete.

Holding up my coconuts! I was excited about getting some of those.
