Now Reporting from Bangladesh!

Hello from the crazy West Bengal jungle!! Actually we are living in a city of 1 million people but it is certainly a crazy jungle! We made it here after leaving Nepal and traveling back through India. There is lots to say but I am going to break it all up into smaller posts so it doesn't seem too scattered. So first things first; an introduction to why we are here!

Jason and I were accepted into an internship with an organization called ASAP. I have been involved with some different micro-finance organizations at BYU and when this particular opportunity arose we decided to go for it! We were assigned to work with the partner organization GouF, stationed in southwest Bangladesh. The purpose of GouF is to help those in very poor circumstances raise their standard of living.

Our purpose in doing this internship is to help raise awareness of poverty and what is being done to eliminate it. We are excited about this opportunity and hope you enjoy the pictures and videos we plan to post. If you feel inclined to make a contribution towards these efforts, we are including a link to our fundraising website.

Here's a few pictures for now!

This country should be called the "green country" because everything is quite green. The rain is never ending!

Today we went out to a village far away. This was one of four modes of transportation we took. We also used a Tuk-tuk, small bus, battery powered cart, and walked!

Women bathing in a village pond. This is my favorite picture!
